The Helping Hands Committee needs your Helping Hands – literally! Please plan to join us as we join Community Housing Solutions in our annual Ramp-A-Thon Project. Mark your calendars now for October 18th and 25th from 8:30AM to 4:00PM. We will be building a wheelchair ramp to restore a home to fully functional conditions for elderly or disabled homeowners with mobility concerns, eliminating some of the isolation that these families feel because they are unable to move in and out of their home.
We will meet at the job site and we will provide that address as soon as a homeowner is assigned so it is VERY important that you RSVP your attendance. Please RSVP your attendance to Cindy Hawks, firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also looking for folks who can provide lunch for the volunteers those two days. If your community or you can assist with that, please contact Cindy Hawks, 336-294-0081, email@example.com.

Our Certified Pharmacists and Licensed Nurses can administer preventative immunizations to promote a healthier work place. We provide mobile, on-site clinics where our team of pharmacists, nurses and billing staff provide quick and easy flu vaccinations.
MOST Insurance plans cover the cost of the flu shot, but we also offer discounted private pay options for part-time employees. So instead of employees having to take time off from work to go the doctor’s office and pay their co-pay, we come to you and bill their insurance on their behalf. We average 25-30 shots an hour which includes insurance billing and filling out the participant disclosure to help ensure minimum downtime. Best part, this service is completely FREE for you to offer your staff and residents!

Balancing work and family commitments can be very challenging! On Wednesday, May 28th, join Jodi Kolada MGS, Director of Caregiver Education at the Adult Center for Enrichment as she offers tips that may help. This session will be held at our new adult day center at 2701 Henry Street from 6:15pm-7:30pm.

TRLA meets the second Tuesday of each month for breakfast at a senior living community in the Triad. Breakfast is served and networking begins at 8:30am. The business meeting begins at 9am and usually lasts one hour. An optional tour of the host senior living community usually follows each meeting. Our monthly meetings feature a 20 minute speaker (generally not a TRLA member) on a topic of interest to the seniors we serve and a 5 minute speaker (generally a TRLA member). If you would like to host a TRLA meeting at your senior living community, be a speaker, or recommend a 20 minute speaker for any of our meetings, please contact the current Vice-President.
