Senior Resources of Guilford is pleased to host this informative presentation by the North Carolina Attorney General’s office. North Carolinians lose millions of dollars each year to consumer scams including sweepstakes, charities, home repairs, and financial investment. Consumers, especially seniors, are often exploited by telemarketing fraud, and identity theft remains a growing problem. Attendees of the event will learn tips on how to avoid becoming a target.

Sponsorship of this event will help pay for the event. All remaining dollars will go to the High Point nutrition program of Senior Resources which has been negatively impacted by the Federal sequester. Five days a week Senior Resources of Guilford provide 60 – 80 Mobile Meals to homebound seniors in High Point (those not served by the High Point Mobile meals group) and lunches to the 35-40 residents of Elm Towers in High Point. We currently have 6 on the waiting list for Elm Towers meals and 9 waiting for Mobile Meals.
